Comedian Taaooma fires back after she was called out for visiting VP Yemi Osinbajo with other Nigerian comedians
Popular Nigerian skit maker, Greene-Apaokagi Maryam, known better as Taaooma, has reacted after she was lambasted online for paying a visit to the Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
It was earlier reported that some of the country’s popular online comedians, including Josh2funny, paid a visit to VP Osinbajo and the development angered a number Nigerian netizens who questioned why the comedians, who should speak truth to people in power, are dinning with politicians.
Notable is the fact that popular IG skit maker, Mr Macaroni who has been a critique of the present administration, was not at the meeting. This convinced people that he was not invited because he criticises the government.
So those who attended the meeting were outed by Nigerians after news of the meeting was made public and Taaooma later took to Instagram to write about the visit.
According to her, she spoke to the VP, urging him to lift the Twitter ban and added that she also brought up the issue of police brutality.
After sharing her post, some of her followers were not buying it and stormed to the comment section to call her out. She however refused to be silent and so hit back at them.
