10-year-old girl hangs herself after being bullied in school over her race and for being autistic
A 10-year-old girl, Isabella Faith Tichenor, has committed suicide after being bulled in school over her race and being autistic.
According to her mum, Brittany, she was picked on by her school mates because she had autism and dyslexia, while her granddad, Gregory, said she was also bullied for being black.
Brittany said the abuse was reported to the school in North Salt Lake, Utah, U.S, but no action was taken to protect her daughter.

She said;
“As any parent would, we reported this abuse to her teachers, the school administration, and the district administration, she told a press conference.
“Nothing, nothing was done to protect Izzy. Children did not have their behaviour corrected so the torment of this child continued day after day.
“You really wouldn’t have known she was going through that.
“So that was the hardest part. She must have really internalised this.”
The little girl’s grandmother, Paula Harris, said they will now be Izzy’s “voice” to fight against the problem of bullying.
Harris said;
“We are going to be Izzy’s voice, we are going to ring the bell as loud as we can because we are going to stop this bullying. That little girl had spark, that little girl had hopes and dreams.”
A press conference was organized to address the issue and the Tichenor family alongside the PTA representatives of Foxboro Elementary School were present.
Speaking with 2News, a parent, Breanna Larson said, “Everyone has a role here in this failure, and everyone has a role in the solution. It is on the parents, it’s on the students, it’s on the teachers, it’s on the administration.”
Izzy’s grandfather, Gregory Tichenor told the Sun: “My daughter went to the teacher and she went to the principal and nothing was done. This has been going on for months and nothing was done. It was both verbal and physical.”
He maintained that he thinks Isabella was racially abused and was called the “N word” by other kids.
“We think this was racially motivated. This is what they do. This is their make up but it needs to change,” he maintained.

“This sh*t is pissing me off and it’s not even my child. You haven’t seen traumatised yet.”
“Not acceptable. @mercyjohnsonokojie I know you’re gentle, but please sue her. What rubbish, you came here spewing nonsense like you had receipts, when she was quite rightly sticking up for her child.

“Why bring the matter on social media if you have already taken it to the school authority” – Uche Maduagwu tackles Mercy Johnson
Controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu has tackled his colleague, Mercy Johnson for calling out her daughter’s school teacher allegedly bullying her in her school.
The mother of four had earlier taken to social media to reveal that her 8-year-old daughter, Purity is being bullied in school by a teacher who doesn’t like her mum (Mercy) because of her celebrity status.
Reacting to the whole school-teacher saga, Uche Maduagwu berated the actress for bringing the matter to social media, after reporting the teacher to the school authority.

According to him, Mercy is wrong for bringing the issue that happened in her daughter’s school to social media, before the school authority addressed her complaint.
In his words,
“Dear Mercy Johnson, you are a great mum who #loves her pikin but I think all this attention is unnecessary since according to your post, you talk say you don carry the teacher matter go school authority, so why bring the matter come social media again?
Have you listened to that teacher side or allowed the #school authorities conclude dem findings before coming out with this LAUGHABLE reason as to why dem allegedly bully your pikin? Nigerian #TEACHERS are also peoples mums, sisters and dads, the extraordinary work they do should be appreciated #beautiful #lekki #mercyjohnson #nollywood”.

But in the newest development, the lady who appears to not be approving of Mercy’s receipt made an Instagram live video to blast the actress for being adamant.

BBN’s Angel school trolls who told her to “dress the way you want to be addressed”
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Angel Smith has always proven to not be fazed by any form of trolling or bullying that’s sent her way and in a recent case, she schools trolls on her Twitter who have a problem with how she chooses to cover her nakedness.
The schooling started after the model apprised people of the legal consequence of sharing songstress, Tiwa Savage’s leaked sex tape and the wrongness in blaming victims whose sexual contents get leaked without their consent.
“The problem will never be the fact that someone made a sex tape or that someone took a picture naked, the problem will always lie with the person that decided to leak it. Stop victim blaming,” she wrote.
She continued: “And leaking someone’s nudes is a criminal offense. I hope one of you becomes a scapegoat.”
Upon seeing the responses her opinion stirred, she went on to remind folks that later,

“we will talk about how slut-shaming culture impacts rape culture. Calling people especially women all types of sluts because of how they choose to dress or how they talk etc puts women in harm’s way but like I said we will have that conversation later.”
Her statement then blew up and she took her time schooling folks who blame victims of rape and sexual assault for dressing a certain type of way.
“You are a black man, you do not need to dress a certain way before you are profiled as a threat to a racist. Labels are harmful. Check your bias and unlearn. Have a great day ahead,” one of her tweets reads.
